Responsible Gaming
Money spent on a casino is money spent on entertainment. Budget it that way.
Eighteen And Over
Nobody under 18 may gamble under any licence. Age is checked at registration and again before the first withdrawal. Accounts opened by minors get closed and any winnings removed.
Decide The Amount In Advance
Only money that can disappear without changing your month belongs in a casino. Rent does not qualify, nor does the food budget, nor anything borrowed or already committed elsewhere.
Set the figure before opening the lobby. A number picked mid-session is not a budget, and a number picked after a loss is a decision made by the loss.
Warning Signs
- Stakes rising past the plan, session after session
- Going back specifically to win losses back
- Borrowing or selling something to keep playing
- Playing in private, or understating the amount
- Sleep, work, study or people losing ground
- Restlessness or low mood on days without a session
- Playing to escape rather than to enjoy an hour
One on its own may mean nothing. Several at once are worth stopping for.
Tools Worth Using Early
Every regulated operator carries them, and a calm moment is the time to set them:
- Deposit limits — a ceiling per day, week or month that will not lift on impulse
- Loss limits — a cap on what a period is allowed to cost
- Session reminders — a clock that interrupts on purpose
- Cool-off — a short lock, 24 hours through six weeks
- Self-exclusion — a long lock, months to permanent, irreversible inside the period
Keeping Children Out
A shared device needs a password. Net Nanny and Gamban block gambling sites at machine level, which holds where a browser setting does not. Nobody under 18 should watch a session or place a bet on your account.

- Gamblers Anonymous — gamblersanonymous.org
- Gambling Therapy — gamblingtherapy.org, with a self-assessment test
None of them are run by an operator and none of them charge. Early contact works better than late contact, every time.
The Maths Behind It
Every game holds a house edge in its rules. Over enough rounds the house finishes ahead, which is arithmetic rather than misfortune. No staking system, no pattern and no streak alters it. Play for the hour, not for the outcome.
